CTUBIH realised the Press Statement concerning the change of ownership of VF Komerc

Just when organizing procedure in VF Komerc was finished this company got the new owner, Mr.Ivica Todorić,president of Agrokor, Commerce Company from Croatia. CTUBIH therefore already started the initiative to start the cooperation with the new menagment and in this respect has also realised the Press Statement to  assure its membership that will continiouslly protect and promote their rights and will give its best to stay competent and efficient representative for them.

CTUBIH officially invitated the new owner to start the social dialogue as soon as posibille and to establish the positive atmosfere for cooperation and prosperity of the company that is mutual interest.

Women's Section Coordinattion Comittee Meeting held in Sarajevo

The election of Bisera Hećo as president of Women's Section of the Confederation has been supported by the Coordinattion Comittee of Women's Section of CTUBIH

The meeting was held in Sarajevo March 21 and its aim was first to present the Activitiy Report for 2006 and to agree on the Plan of Activities for 2007. The participants of the meeting also disccussed the recent election of their colleague,Bisera Hećo for the position of President of Women's Section of the SSSBIH.

"The election of our representative for the position of president of Women's Section of SSSBIH  clearly shows the recognition and trust  in the organizing women's network in our union to be effective and functional role model for general women's activties in BIH and we as members of the Coordinattion Comittee are proud and privilaged because of that. At the same time we are very much awared of the responsibility and challenge that this election means not only for our colleague but for the Weomen's Section of our union in general" said Mersiha Beširović,the president of Women's Section of CTUBIH.

Therefore Comittee agreed on several principles and tasks to be put for the newly elected leadesrhip of the Women's Section of SSSBIH in order to secure first that values and positive results of the work  in women's network in commerce scetor achieved trough the years and to help the Women's Section of SSSBiH to finally establish its activities and its structure on the level that they can represent and promote the rights and interest of the female working population in the country.

Besides the members of the Comittee, on this meeting there were also present Bisere Hećo,new president of Women's Section of SSSBIH, Azra Šehbajraktarević,president of CTUBIH and Emina Abrahamsdotter, Program Coordinator of ITUC office for SEE.

Workers of VF Komerc have faith in CTUBIH

After more then two years, the initiatives and efforst put by CTUBIH brough the first real results. Workers of VF Komerc, the large commerce chain expressd their faith in CTUBIH to be able to represent and protect their rights and to act as a partner to their menagment. THe formal procedure is completed and the fees started to come from the store in sarajevo,sanski Mosta, Gračanica and Bihać

HK welcomed the BH trade union representatives

Exchange of the experiences in the field of Collective Agreements and Negoshiation in Norway

As a part of cooperation with HK the exchange of the experience has very important role. On the basis of the needs for know-how expressed by the Tu leaders in BIH, HK welcomed the delegation consisted of Azra Šehbajraktarević, CTUBIH and Goran Savanović, STUDRS accompanied by Mersiha Beširović,FIET Project for a study visit in Oslo in February 2007. During their stay in Oslo, Tu leaders from BIH had a chance to learn form HK experts how the Collective agreements in Norway are structured and designed and how the proccess of negoshiation is taking place. They also had a chance to meet once again with the friends from FLt who welcomed them in thei headquater in Oslo. Thsi visit also gave lot of new perpsectives to the TU representatives from BIH trough very interesting and advanced presentation of the structures, principles and the activties of FLT. The delegation was at the same time very impressed with the education activities conducted by the FLT company Adisco. This once gave the hope for the future activties in BIH since the education beside the organizing was always one of the main priorities for CTUBIH and the Project.

This visit offered new posibilities for intensifing the cooperation work with the trade union movement in Republika Srpska and also put focus on the need for more joint activtiies in BIH in the near future

FLT provided new equipment for FIET Project in BIH

FLT proved itself as being the representtaives of proffesional and managerial staff and enginiers in Norway by recognizing the need for renewing the computer equipment in the office of FIET Project for BIH and CTUBIH. The support worth little bit more then 15,000 KM will benefit the future work in representation,information and education in BIH union movement in commerce sector. Taking into the account the fact tha Project and CTUBIh have very limited recources on their disposal and cannot invest them in the equipment it is then clear how important this donation is for the Project as such but also for the union activities that are mostly designed and planned by the Project staff. We use this opportunity to thank our friends in FLT for making our work much eaiser and more effective by this concrete action of solidarity.
