Reform of STBIH STBIH Crisis Plan, anonimously adopted by the ist Executive Comittee,got support from the project partners too. PAM and SASK;Finland decited to support the plan by providing the recources for the reform process of STBIH. The reform has aim to make the union more effective on all its level and it will include the drafting new union documents, redefining the roles and responsibilities as well as promoting the local union engagement on the regional level as it was propossed by Crisis Plan. The Project will be implemented in two parts, the reform itself to be done until the next STBIH Congress at the end of 2009 and support in the first implementation of the reformed union trough training of elected STBIH leadership and shopstewards. The Reform Comittee elected by STBIH executive Comittee togehther with representatives of PAM;SASK and HUMAK from Finland take active part in this process. The first working seminar was held in febraury and next one is sheduled for April. The reform started with studies on needs and expectation of the key stake holders of STBIH as its basis. |
Union restructuring as a basis for better union activities and initiatives On the meeting of STBIH Executive Comittee in February 2009 Mersiha Beširović and Fikret Plivčić presented the Crisis Plan as an action plan for the next Congress. The basis of this plan is restructuring the union on all levels with special focus on securing the recources for professional union engagement on the regional level. The union administration by this will decrease, the new infrastructure will be established and in the period of the next two years this will be based on using the present project recources. This Plan is STBIH answer to general financial crisis but also the attempt to secure the union egsistence and its self sustainable development in the near future. Support for the next two years At the beginning of the year the meeting of HK leadership and FIET Project office staff was held in Sarajevo.The meeting focussed on the activties in 2009, budget as well as other issues in connection to the project. Sture Artzen, the president of HK Norge informed the project staff about the decission of Hk Board to continue the project in BIH for the next two years. The project staff presented the plan of activities for 2009 as well as initiative for reform of STBIH and the Crisis Plan made by the union. The delegation of HK and project staff disccussed also other issues, rules and responisibilities in the project and drafted the project application to be submited to the respective Ministries in Norway. The aim of the propossed project is to strainghten the local union initiatives and imrpove the participation of youth and women in the union.

2008 has been very fruitfull when it comes to the activties of the Women's Section of STBIH. Lots of activties have been implemented during the year thanks to the support of HK Norge. The major development has been made in the field of violence at work and mobbing, the project supported by HK region Ahder og Rogoland. The annual conference of the Coordinattion Comitte of the Women's Section was held in Tuhelj, 24-26 November 2008 when the elected women's representatives evaluated the project implemented in 2008 and drafted a action plan for the next year. This conference has been supported by HK region Agder og Rogoland, that focus its solidarity action on particular women's activities in STBIH. |
